Terms for AI visibility and structured access pilots.
Last updated: 22 April 2026. These terms frame AutomateIndex as practical publisher infrastructure: monitor first, preserve search, improve AI readability, and use AgentToll only where structured access exists.
Agreement
These terms apply to use of the AutomateIndex website, dashboard, public audit tools, integrations, generated policy files, agent-readable endpoints, and AgentToll paid access features.
Core terms
- Monitor-first service: AutomateIndex is designed to audit and monitor AI crawler activity before enforcement is enabled.
- Publisher responsibility: Publishers are responsible for verifying domains, choosing policies, and ensuring their use of the service fits their own legal obligations.
- No legal advice: Generated robots.txt, llms.txt, RSL, ai-license.json, and policy guidance are technical tooling, not legal advice.
- No guaranteed revenue: AutomateIndex and AgentToll do not guarantee that AI crawlers, agents, or AI companies will pay.
- Search visibility: Default settings preserve human traffic and major search crawlers. Users should review warnings before blocking search or AI search crawlers.
- AgentToll payments: AgentToll by AutomateIndex is the paid access module for selected agent-readable endpoints, including development mock payment support where enabled.
- Acceptable use: Do not use AutomateIndex for illegal activity, sensitive data misuse, security abuse, spam, malware, or attempts to bypass another site owner’s controls.
- Availability: The MVP and pilot service may change as infrastructure, standards, payment rails, and legal review mature.
Generated files
AutomateIndex may generate robots.txt guidance, llms.txt, RSL, ai-license.json, and agent catalog files. Publishers should review generated content before deploying it and seek legal advice for high-stakes licensing decisions.
Payments
AgentToll can return HTTP 402 for selected Markdown/JSON endpoints. Payment verification, settlement, network availability, wallet configuration, and tax treatment remain subject to final production setup and applicable laws.
Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutomateIndex is provided without warranties during MVP and pilot use. We are not responsible for lost traffic, lost revenue, crawler behavior, search ranking changes, payment network failures, or third-party platform outages unless required by law.
